Day Two | Saudi-Dutch Business Council Strengthens Partnerships with Dutch Economic Institutions

The Saudi-Dutch Business Council continued its official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands with a series of meetings in The Hague involving leading Dutch economic institutions. The meetings aimed to expand avenues for cooperation and foster strategic partnerships between the business communities of Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands.

As part of the second day's program, the delegation met with representatives of the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (VNO-NCW) to discuss mechanisms for strengthening institutional cooperation, enhancing coordination between both sides, and exchanging expertise to further accelerate bilateral economic collaboration.

The delegation also held a meeting with members of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Business Council, where discussions focused on exploring joint investment opportunities, supporting economic initiatives, and expanding cooperation between business organizations in both countries.

The day's program concluded with a meeting with the Head of the International Finance and Emerging Markets Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. Discussions centered on developing institutional partnerships and enhancing cooperation in the fields of investment and finance, with the aim of advancing the shared economic interests of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Day One | Saudi-Dutch Business Council Commences Its Official Visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands

The Saudi-Dutch Business Council commenced its official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, taking place from 8 to 10 June 2026, with a series of official meetings in The Hague. The visit aims to strengthen economic relations and explore new opportunities for trade, investment, and bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The first day's program included a meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Jalawi bin Turki Al Saud, Deputy Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral trade relations and reinforcing the Council's role in fostering partnerships between the private sectors of both countries.

The delegation also met with officials from the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency at the Ministry of Economic Affairs to discuss the Dutch investment environment, explore investment opportunities, and review the regulatory framework and key considerations for investors.

The first day's activities concluded with a visit to Aramco Europe, where both sides discussed opportunities for future collaboration and explored ways to leverage the company's international expertise in supporting economic initiatives and expanding cooperation between the Saudi-Dutch Business Council and the Dutch private sector.

The Saudi-Dutch Business Roundtable was held in Riyadh under the chairmanship of H.E. Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the General Authority for Foreign Trade, with the participation of H.E. Ms. Aukje de Vries, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of the Netherlands, alongside representatives from the public and private sectors of both countries.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations, highlighting promising opportunities across key sectors of mutual interest, and expanding economic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands.

Participants reaffirmed the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration between the public and private sectors, while exploring new initiatives to enhance trade, investment, and strategic partnerships that contribute to sustainable economic growth and further strengthen the longstanding relationship between Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands.
