The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), operating under the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, has announced a trade mission to the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, scheduled to take place from 19–24 September 2026.

The mission is designed to support Dutch companies active in the critical raw materials sector and to explore cooperation opportunities with government entities and private-sector organizations in both Oman and Saudi Arabia. The program will focus on sustainable mining, mineral processing, recycling, and logistics.

The initiative forms part of the Dutch government's efforts to strengthen international economic cooperation and foster strategic partnerships that contribute to the development of resilient and sustainable critical raw material supply chains.

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Jazan Region, received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Hans Peter van der Woude, along with his accompanying delegation, in a meeting that reflects the strong and growing relationship between Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands.

During the meeting, both sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest and explored ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

The meeting underscores the continued commitment of both countries to expanding Saudi–Dutch relations and enhancing opportunities for economic cooperation, investment, and knowledge exchange, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the shared ambition to build long-term strategic partnerships.

The Saudi-Dutch Business Council concluded its official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands with a visit to GreenTech Amsterdam, one of the world's leading exhibitions dedicated to advanced horticultural technologies, agricultural innovation, and sustainable solutions.

During the visit, the Council's delegation explored the latest technologies and innovative solutions in smart agriculture, protected cultivation, and sustainable farming. The delegation also held a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of Dutch companies participating in the exhibition to discuss opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the adoption of cutting-edge innovations that support the development of the agricultural sector and enhance food security.

This visit reflects the Saudi-Dutch Business Council's ongoing commitment to strengthening economic cooperation, promoting knowledge exchange, and exploring promising investment opportunities. It also supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 while further reinforcing the strategic economic partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
